>Coming from the confines of a 3DS screen to the expanse of World being played on a PS4 Pro on a 49-inch screen, you understand why there was reluctance to call this one Monster Hunter 5. It's such a leap it may as well be Monster Hunter 7 or 8.
Probably would have got me into the series if it was also released for Switch. Becoming less interested in playing games I can’t bring with me, especially worlds like these. Note that I’m fine with it not being a Switch title. Capcom will surely release it on the platforms that bring business sense. Just saying that it seems like the kind of game that would indeed have hooked me, on the Switch.

There's no room to say we're porting our current software to Nintendo hardware. It comes down to what we've already said - we want to deliver the perfectly adapted game for the hardware we have in mind. That was our design concept, and our mission from the very beginning. Being able to adapt Monster Hunter for those systems - adapting that to different hardware doesn't really work this time around. But in the future, thinking of something like the Switch, we'll think about how to adapt it for that platform.
