プレイステーション VRのワールドワイドでの販売台数が91万5000台であることが明らかに

プレイステーション VRのワールドワイドでの販売台数が、2017年2月19日時点で、91万5000台を突破していることが明らかとなった。
この数字は、ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメント CEOのアンドリュー・ハウスが、ニューヨーク・タイムズの取材に答えて明らかにしたもので、
プレイステーション VRが2016年10月13日に発売されて以降、4ヵ月あまりでの数字となる。

　ハウス氏は、プレイステーション VRは10月に発売されて以来在庫が足りない状態が続いていて、今年秋から南米でも販売する予定ということもあり、
供給状態を改善したいと思っているといった主旨のコメントしている。

PlayStation VR’s sales for the first time, saying consumers had purchased
915,000 of the headsets as of Feb. 19, roughly four months after it went on sale.
Sony’s internal goal was to sell one million of the headsets in its first six months, by mid-April.
