As far as I know, I will explain why Starfield's Korean language (text/subtitles) work is in trouble.

- Zenimax (Bethesda) was acquired by MS, but it still remains a separate publisher from Xbox Game Studios.

- Bethesda will continue to publish their own games by themselves. That was a condition for Zenimax to be acquired by MS.

- That's why it's called "Xbox & Bethesda showcase", not "Xbox showcase".

- Historically, Bethesda has entrusted the localization of their games to local distributors (local publishers).

- In regions that do not have Bethesda's local branch office, such as Korea, local publishers (H2 Interactive in Korea) were responsible for localizing work after purchasing distribution rights for Bethesda games.

- Korean subtitles have been added in many Bethesda games so far, not because of Bethesda's efforts, but because local publishers (in the case of Korea, it is H2 Interactive) have spent money on localizing Bethesda games.

- Starting with Fallout 76, almost all Bethesda games have been localized in Korean text with the investment by H2 Interactive. (But in the case of Hi-Fi Rush, it is still unclear who paid for the localization work. H2? Bethesda? MS?)

- H2 Interactive seems to be having a hard time investing in Starfield's localization. In the future, all Bethesda games will only be released on Xbox/PC, and on Game Pass Day One.
It makes H2 Interactive less and less profitable from Bethesda game sales in Korea.
In addition, Starfield needs a tremendous cost of localizing work in Korean text.

- Bethesda doesn't come up with this because it still seems to leave localization work to local distributors, as it has always been.

- In the end, Microsoft is the only one to solve this problem. Without their decision and investment, more additional language cannot be supported in Starfield and other Bethesda games in the future.
